Where is Summer?!

Hello, this is Kourtni posting! Actually, most of the time it is, because my mom just doesn't have the time to figure out how too! It has already been one longggg month of going to school here at BYUI. I am really enjoying it! It is awesome being back with a bunch of mormon kids & it's really cool going to classes and being able to talk about the gospel. I loveeee it here, besides the weather. It actually was really nice for along time at the beginning of January, but just this past week it's snowed everyday & night, which then the temps drop..blah....it is soooo cold walking to classes!! Although I have to say, the snow has been pretty fun, with all the sledding and such going on. But man do I love Summer!!!! Can't wait for it to warm up!


Well all I know about home is that everything is going well. Virginia just got alittle bit of snow, but more like ice. So the kiddo's got acouple days off of school. Big whimps (school district). Everyone is back to the school routine, and Melissa is back to Relief Society joy!

Yay it's the weekend! I've been looking forward to it! Hope everyone has a delightful one! :)

Back to the West and leaving Kourtni

We headed to Utah on December 31st to make our way to Rexburg, ID where Kourtni will now be attending school. It was a nice trip with nice weather! We stayed in Utah for two nights and Thursday we went with some family snowshoeing at American Forks, which was very fun! We enjoyed staying at the hotel alot and relaxing too! Thursday night we ran over to Temple Square, it was beautiful with all the lights and such! Friday we caught the Salt Lake Express Shuttle and took the trip to Rexburg and it actually went quite quickly. We stayed at our families home and moved Kourtni in on Saturday. Man, did we spend that mooooolahhhh!!!!!! So now Kourtni's back West & the families still in Virginia, how does that work?! Oh well, we know she will be having a blast!

It's been pretty busy around here lately so no time to sit down and blog!
Trying to write up our Family Holiday letter, so look out for that sometime!!

Hmm...

So there probably has been alot of new things going on, if only I could pinpoint exactly what. Well first off, we have been veryyyy busy shopping and getting all of Kourtni's school things together. She will be leaving for BYU Idaho on January 1st, so not very much time! Kayleigh made the high school swim team and is keeping busy with that now! Kyle was ordained a Deacon, so now we get to see him pass the sacrament!! The twins are doing just fine. Ashley is in her 4th grade spelling bee, she is such a smartie pants! Last of all, Derek...he is busy...with the xbox and computer games, forget school! Well life is getting very busy! Hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!!!!!

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY KAYLEIGH!!!!

Today is Kayleigh's 16th birthday! She is full of life, and very crazy and original! For part of her birthday we picked her up after her first class, and told her she had a dentist appointment and was going to get her wisdom teeth pulled...that didn't go over too well. So we drove off towards town but then set off to Tyson's Corner, one of the largest malls in VA. Needless to say, it wasn't all that I expected, but it had Kayleigh's favorite store Delia's so we had to go there. It was an enjoyable day with the girls! Tomorrow she is having a party so we'll see how that turns out! But.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYBIRD!! WE LOVE YOU!

HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY KYLE JORDAN!!!

Kyle is one amazing boy! He is the best older brother to the twins and Derek and a great little brother to Kourtni and Kayleigh! Here are a few fun facts about Kyle:

1. He is always there to lend a helping hand. (without being asked)

2. This boy can EAT!!! Kyle is always hungry and he can definitely down the pizza!!

3. Kyle is somewhat a daredevil! He has been riding a dirt bike since he got his very own when he was 3! (He misses not having his here in VA though.)

4. Kyle is always loving and all babies love him! (Need I say anything about girls...=])

5. Right now Kyle is in 6th grade and is "too short and needs to grow" Kayleigh reminds him of this everyday.

6. Kyle loves to play. He isn't really into sports with balls, but sports with wheels (skateboarding, biking, scootering...anything that spins!)

7. Kyle is very caring and loving when it comes to other peoples feelings.

8. Kyle will be able to join the young men this month! Crazy how time flys!

9. Kyle's favorite thing right now (along with his brothers) is to play xbox all the time! He is probably pro now.

10. Kyle is just an incredibly, handsome, loving, short, funny, boy!! :]

We love you Kyle!!! Happy 12th Birthday!!!

Alittle Late...

As you can see, we are alittle late on starting this blog deal. It has been 2 years now that we have made the trip from our favorite little town Moses Lake, WA to Virginia. Wow does time just fly! I just wanted to share the photo's from the move instead of holding them in a file.
